If you don't have Manager access
This article is intended for users with Manager access to Sowiso, and access to the Admin console in Schoolyear. If you do not have Manager access to Sowiso, follow the first five steps and then contact Sowiso support. Please share your Schoolyear secret with us, as we will need it in order to connect the two systems.
Step 1
Go to your Schoolyear account, and choose "Admin Console" in the upper right corner.
Step 2
Click on "Add".
Step 3
Choose "Sowiso" in the Store. If Sowiso is not on your list in the Store, choose "Custom API key".
Step 4
Fill in the name for the Add-on, for example, Sowiso. Click on "Add".
Step 5
Save the API data on your computer. You will need this information to add it to Sowiso in the next step.
Step 6
Go to Sowiso, to the Admin tab, and then choose "Manage Schoolyear API keys".

Step 7
Tick the box next to "Schoolyear enabled".
Step 8
Add the Secret you got from Schoolyear into the field. Click on "Save Schoolyear API key".
You will get a confirmation message that the API key has been saved.
Schoolyear and Sowiso are now connected. You can schedule a test and enable Schoolyear under Settings-Security. For more information visit this article.
