Go to the "Teacher" tab, and then to "Course material". From here, it is possible to add, remove or move around chapters and subchapters. It's enough to have a Teacher role to make these changes. However, it is not possible to move a theory page or a package to a different chapter. To move theory pages or packages to another chapter, you will need to have Author access to the author group where the theory page, package, and chapter are located. Follow the steps below in order to move a theory page or a package to a different chapter.
Step 1
Collect the ID number of the theory page/package you want to move to a different (sub)chapter. This can be done in many different ways, for instance by right-clicking on the name of the theory page/package in the “Course material” tab and then selecting “Preview”.
A preview of the theory page/package will pop up, and the URL of this page will contain the theory page/package id, like https://cloud.sowiso.nl/content/theory/16653
Step 2
Go to the "Author" tab, and then to "Theory" or "Packages", depending on the item you are moving.
Find this theory page/package in the authoring environment by searching for its ID, and open it by clicking on the orange pencil icon.
Don't see the orange pencil?
If you do not see an orange pencil icon, you do not have the rights to edit or move this theory page/package. In that case, if you want to move a theory page, you can copy the theory page by clicking on the green copy button and copy it to the right chapter.
Tip: do not check "Copy the theory page and not just a reference to it". Only enable this option if you plan to make changes to the theory page. You can always decide to make changes to it later, and then create your own reference of the theory page.
When you have your own copy of the theory page in a new chapter, you can decide to switch out the chapters for the students. To remove the old chapter and add the new one, go to "Teacher" and then "Course material" tab. Find detailed instructions on managing the course material in this article.
If you cannot find the theory page/package at all and you are sure that the ID number is correct, then you do not have the rights to change the theory page/package. In that case, you can contact your school manager and ask them to give you appropriate rights.
Step 3
Go to the “General” tab of the theory page/package and choose the right chapter and subchapter next to “Move to”. Do not forget to click “Save”.
Step 4
Lastly, you can go to the chapter that you just moved your theory page/package to by looking it up in the author environment:
Click on the "Pencil" button to edit the chapter. Now, you can change the order of the theory pages/packages in that chapter.
