Do you have a class that allows for only one language, for example, English? Would you like your students to only access the practice material and the test in that chosen language? The steps to achieve this are explained below.
Allow only one language for the practice material
The quickest way to apply the same language settings to your practice material is by changing the language of your chapter(s). To do this, you will have to have Author access to the given chapters.
Find the chapter you wish to edit under "Author", "Chapter".
Then go to "Language" and select your chosen language as default.
When students with a different platform language settings go to the practice material, they won't get an error message when they open theory pages and exercises. Instead, they will get the materials displayed in the default language (English, in this case). They will see a warning triangle symbol next to the chapter title, saying that the chapter is not available in the language they have selected in their profile.
When they open the exercises, they will show in English, and the buttons will show in the language they have selected in their profile.
Allow only one language for a test
When setting up your test, under "Language", choose your one language as the only one selected, and mark it as "default".
If the students try to access the test while having their account set to a different language, for example Dutch, they will get a notification: "This test is not available in Dutch. The questions will be shown in English". They can proceed to the test without having to change any settings in their profile.
The questions in the test will be shown in the default language, in this case, English. The buttons will be shown in the language the student has selected in their profile settings.
